4 letters
L O V E
Is why we’re standing here today
And See I’m not standing here for show
But I’m here to tell you briefly about the bond
Between me and my brother Richard
Because if I don’t stand here and say my piece then I know that I’ll be lying
And maybe I won’t know peace
See
I see a lot of him in me
But in years of searching to find me
I failed to see those 4 letter words staring right back at me
Not the conventional way though
But in the form of criticism and sheer desire
Richard You taught me how to be better
And never settle for less
And for that I will always be blessed
You push me to think out of the box and dare to dream that I can have a union as beautiful as yours
You see you taught me to strive for more
Because all though we’re both laid back
More is always what we want for our family
And see family is why we’re here today
To witness the joining of two family’s
The Asare’s and the Abe’s
And I don’t wanna ramble on so please give me one more moment
In Mark 10:9 it says: Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.
And in Ecclesiastes 4:12 it says: Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Just like in Mathew 18:20 when it says: For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.
And as we are gathered here today in his name I urge you to stand up as we lift up our glasses to echo this prayer in to the world for the newly weds
Because those 4 letter words
L O V E
Is why were here today…
